Edit scenes, swap footage & use the timeline

Fine-tune any scene: swap clips from ranked alternatives, edit on-screen text, and adjust timing.

  1. Step 1: Open the editor

    From a finished or in-progress project, choose Edit. Each scene is listed with the line of script it covers.

  2. Step 2: Swap footage

    Click a scene and choose Swap. You'll see ranked alternative clips for that line; pick one and the preview updates.

  3. Step 3: Edit text and graphics

    Change lower thirds, stat cards, titles and map labels directly. Fix a name or number in seconds.

  4. Step 4: Adjust timing on the timeline

    Drag scene edges on the timeline to change where cuts land. Captions follow automatically.

  5. Step 5: Re-render

    Press Update video. Only changed scenes are rebuilt, and swaps before export are free.
